A thought from the Associate Pastor... Jesus our Life and Light
". I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly." John 10:10
The disciple John was called the ".disciple whom the Lord loved" (John 21:20). He was able to say of Jesus, "In him was life; and the life was the light of men". (John 1:4) The life and the light are here considered synonymous. It seems so simple, why don't more people accept this light? John had the answer when he said, ".that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19)
The level of life and light are measured not by what we do but rather who we know. Truly knowing Jesus opens the door to that life and light. Whether you are a first time visitor, or a long time member, we ask that you open your heart and let that life and light shine through you. "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." (Daniel 12:3) How bright are you shining today?

Family Training Hour: Each Wednesday night at 7:00 pm. This is a ministry for the whole family! Adult Bible Study, Kid's Club, Rosebud Girl's Club, & Royal Rangers. Invite someone to church!
Prayer Meeting: Thursday evenings at 7 pm and always before worship on Sunday evening service at 6 pm.
Notice: Please no food, drink, candy, or gum in the church. Also, please avoid allowing your children to write or color in church outside of class periods. Honoring these rules helps prolong the life of the building and its furnishings. Le 19:30 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD. Let's reverence God's house and refrain from going in and out unless it is an emergency.
Building Fund Pledge Program: Don't forget to turn in your monthly pledges at the beginning of each month. Please label it appropriately on your tithe envelop so that it can be distributed accordingly. Your sacrificial giving is appreciated.

Building Program: We are under way. Grading has begun for new parking lots, and building pads. Please be in much prayer regarding this entire project.

Birth Announcement: Congratulations to Jody and Theresa Kiser, along with big sisters Julia and Kristen. Landon Blake Kiser was born on Thursday, May 1st at 2:01 pm weighing
6 pounds 13 ounces and measuring 19 ½ inches long. Please keep the family in your prayers. Sister Theresa is now at home.

Ladies Prayer Study: Our last meeting for our study will be Tuesday, May 4th at 7 pm. Our times together have been such a blessing and inspiration. Please read chapters 26-30 and complete the study guide questions. We will meet at the church for our discussion.
Revival: May 25 - 28, 2008 with Rev. Gerald McDowell.
Reaching the Lost for Christ: If we are going to reach our community, we need more help! The Outreach Team only stays out about an hour, so the rest of your day can be free. Outreach is going to be the 3rd Saturday every month, so save the date and come out!
Picnic: The Sunday School department will be hosting a picnic on Saturday, June 7 @ 5:00PM. The cost will be $5.00 per person. As a promotional. . . if you have perfect attendance in Sunday School for the month of May, you will receive a free dinner ticket for the picnic compliments of the Sunday School department. And if you bring someone to Sunday School with you for the first time or they haven't been in the last two months, you will receive a free waffle cone ice cream.
